Lodestar focuses on helping children and families build upon their existing skills, supports, and successes in Long Island and NYC.
Lodestar is a Light that Guides the Way
Lodestar Children’s Services provides kids with mental health and behavioral health needs with home and community-based services to provide them with the support they need to stay within the comfort and safety of their homes and communities. We aim to empower children and families to take charge in their own treatment and recovery and prevent more vulnerable youth from out-of-home placement due to mental health struggles.
We are a licensed provider of Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) along with Children and Family Treatment Supports and Services (CFTSS) which help our Lodestar Kids engage in their community and take charge of their education, their work, and their life.
Mental Health at Home – Our Approach
Home and Community Services

HCBS provides one-on-one care where clients feel the most comfortable, in their homes and in their communities.
We believe that feeling welcome and engaged with your community is one of the strongest supports to prevent institutionalization, and strive to provide this security for the clients we serve.
Children Family Treatment and Support Services

CFTSS includes a more in-depth approach into treatment and recovery.
These one-on-one services are provided in the home or in the community and aim to help youth and their families develop strong coping skills and treatment plans to take charge of their mental health.
Assessment and Linkage

Our expert team is here to answer your questions, offer clinical assessments for service eligibility, and are dedicated to providing resources and support both inside and outside of Lodestar.
